Drake Maye and Tetairoa McMillan headlined the NFL’s Week 4 award winners after delivering defining performances in divisional and prime-time victories.
Maye earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the New England Patriots to a 29-26 road upset of the Buffalo Bills, a result that tightened the AFC East picture. The Patriots quarterback threw three touchdown passes, finished with 269 passing yards and added 54 yards on the ground. All three totals represented his best marks of the season, while his 97.7 passer rating helped secure the second weekly honor of his career.
McMillan took NFC Offensive Player of the Week following Carolina’s 32-26 Sunday night win over the Detroit Lions. The reigning AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year caught 14 passes for 192 yards, both career highs, and scored twice. One of his touchdowns came on a 32-yard catch as the Panthers receiver collected his first Player of the Week award.
Jacksonville linebacker Foye Oluokun was selected as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the first-place Jaguars beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 22-17. Oluokun recorded seven tackles, intercepted a pass and forced a fumble, earning the fourth weekly award of his career.
New York Giants cornerback Deonte Banks claimed NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his game-changing effort in a 36-24 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. With the Giants protecting a six-point lead, Banks intercepted a pass and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown to seal the outcome. He reached 21.85 mph on the return, the fastest ball-carrier speed recorded in the NFL this season. Banks also produced four tackles and four pass breakups while recording the first pick-six of his career and his first weekly award.
Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza received AFC Special Teams Player of the Week recognition after a complete punting performance in a 30-27 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Araiza punted five times and pinned every kick inside the 20-yard line, averaging 47.6 yards per punt. He also placed one punt inside the 5 and ran for 12 yards on a successful fake punt.
Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard was the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after accounting for every point in Minnesota’s 15-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. The Vikings remained unbeaten at 4-0 without scoring a touchdown, relying on Reichard’s perfect five-field-goal afternoon. He connected from 47, 50, 33, 41 and 29 yards.
Reichard, a 2025 All-Pro, is now 12-for-12 on field-goal attempts and 6-for-6 on extra points this season. The third-year kicker earned the second NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award of his career.
