The Anaheim Ducks continued to lock down their young roster Saturday, signing forward Tim Washe to a four-year contract that begins next season. Terms were not announced.
Washe, 25, was approaching restricted free agency after the current campaign. The undrafted forward posted five points on two goals and three assists across 39 NHL games in his rookie season with Anaheim, then added an assist in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff appearances.
From San Diego to the Ducks lineup
Washe opened last season with the San Diego Gulls, where his production earned him a recall to Anaheim. He recorded 14 goals and 13 assists in 36 American Hockey League games and was selected for the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic before joining the Ducks.
Anaheim originally brought Washe into the organization as an undrafted free agent on April 14, 2025. He also appeared in two Ducks games during the 2024-25 season.
Anaheim keeps adding term
Washe’s deal is the latest piece of a busy Ducks offseason centered on their young core. Anaheim signed Cutter Gauthier, another restricted free agent forward, to a six-year contract Tuesday.
The club also retained center Leo Carlsson on a five-year, $90 million agreement carrying an $18 million average annual value. Anaheim matched the Philadelphia Flyers’ offer sheet for the 21-year-old on July 9 after the offer sheet was presented July 3.
Defenseman Pavel Mintyukov received a five-year contract on July 5 as the Ducks continued to add stability around a developing lineup.
Anaheim opens the regular season on Oct. 2 at the Vegas Golden Knights.
