The Falcons will place former pass rusher John Abraham and late offensive lineman Bill Fralic in the franchise’s Ring of Honor during the 2026 campaign.

Abraham’s ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 11, when Atlanta hosts the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5. The former All-Pro spent seven seasons with the Falcons and remains the club’s career sacks leader.

Fralic, an All-Pro guard who played eight seasons in Atlanta, will be inducted posthumously during the Falcons’ Week 16 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Atlanta also released linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud from injured reserve with injury settlements.

Rams preparing for Australia opener

Rams head coach Sean McVay expects the full roster to travel to Australia for Los Angeles’ Week 1 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

McVay also described the backup quarterback situation as an even competition between Stetson Bennett and Ty Simpson. Bennett currently sits above Simpson on the depth chart, but McVay views the two passers as quarterback “2A and 2B.”

Defensive lineman Aaron Donald’s availability for the opener has not been determined. McVay said the Rams will monitor Donald’s status daily before deciding whether he will play against San Francisco.

Bears create cap room

Chicago opened approximately $17 million in 2026 salary-cap space by restructuring the contracts of guard Joe Thuney, defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo and linebacker T.J. Edwards.

Safety Taylor Rapp attended a tryout.

Practice squad additions and injury-settlement moves

Several teams continued to reshape their depth charts through practice squad additions and injury settlements.

  • Wide receiver Ronnie Bell joined a practice squad.
  • Guard Evan Neal signed to a practice squad.
  • Linebacker Azeez Ojulari signed to a practice squad.
  • Linebacker Kyle Kennard was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
  • Linebacker Jacob Roberts was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
  • Linebacker T.J. Maguranyanga was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Quarterback Chris Oladokun, running back EJ Smith and guard C.J. Hanson were also waived from injured reserve with injury settlements.

Wide receiver Chase Roberts was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement. Tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, offensive tackle Kamar Missouri and linebacker Jahfari Harvey were released from practice squads.

Eagles set alternate uniform dates

Philadelphia will wear its alternate Kelly Green uniforms in Week 9 and Week 16. The Eagles also plan to use black uniforms for their Week 15 game.
