Fiorentina will travel to Genoa with a 22-man squad as Paolo Vanoli prepares his side for the early fixture of Serie A’s sixth round at Marassi.
The decision
Vanoli has kept faith with a group that has begun to find steadier ground after a difficult spell. Fiorentina won away at Venezia before taking a home draw against Napoli, results that have given the Viola a more composed platform heading into a demanding visit to Genoa.
Atta remains unavailable. The midfielder is following an individual recovery programme to resolve an abdominal functional overload, an absence Vanoli had already confirmed in his pre-match press conference.
Parisi is also still out as he continues his long-term recovery.
The notable inclusion is Brando Mazzeo, the wide player born in 2007, who has been named in the senior travelling party.
