Gianni Infantino has set out FIFA’s intention to increase investment across its member associations, pointing to the funding levels delivered during his presidency as evidence of the organisation’s direction.
The FIFA president said each national federation has received $25 million during his time in office, a figure he presented as part of a wider effort to strengthen football’s structures in every association.
Infantino’s remarks came as he exchanged a formal greeting with UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, with the two continental football leaders meeting without the warmer public display often seen at major international gatherings.
