Winnipeg’s fantasy board for 2026-27 starts in the crease, where Connor Hellebuyck is coming off an uncharacteristically rough year but still carries the résumé and workload upside to reclaim elite status. Up front, Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele remain the club’s scoring engine, with Gabriel Vilardi riding shotgun and Josh Morrissey anchoring the blue line.

Hellebuyck has a bounce-back case in net
Hellebuyck’s 2025-26 numbers were a sharp departure from his Vezina-level standard: 23 victories in 57 appearances, a .895 save percentage and no shutouts. The 23 wins represented his lowest total in a non-rookie season, while the absence of a shutout was a first in his NHL career.
- As a rookie in 2015-16, Hellebuyck went 13-11-1.
- He reached the top of the position in 2024-25, winning both the Hart Memorial Trophy and Vezina Trophy after a 47-12-3 record, a 2.00 goals-against average, .925 save percentage and eight shutouts.
- Last season brought the dip in results, though his longer body of work still makes him a high-end rebound candidate.
Since the start of 2022-23, Hellebuyck has led all goaltenders with at least 125 games played in victories, with 144 over 244 games. His .916 save percentage and 2.43 goals-against average also lead that group. He is second in shutouts with 17 and second in saves with 6,387.
The three-time Vezina winner has publicly stated that he wants a trade out of Winnipeg. Even with that uncertainty hanging over the crease, his ceiling remains that of the top goaltender in standard fantasy formats.
Connor and Scheifele still drive the scoring
Kyle Connor posted 92 points on 39 goals and 53 assists across all 82 games last season, one year after setting personal bests with 97 points, 41 goals and 56 assists. He has cleared 90 points in three of his last five campaigns, scored at least 30 goals in eight of the past nine years, and reached 40 twice in that span.
The 29-year-old has been one of the League’s busiest shooters since 2019-20. His 256 goals and 1,757 shots in 517 games both rank seventh over that stretch. His 40 game-winning goals across the past five seasons rank third in the NHL.
Connor’s shooting profile stayed dangerous last season. He was tied for eighth in wrist-shot goals with 19 and tied for seventh among forwards in slap-shot goals with six. A 93-point forecast reflects the dependable combination of finish and volume.
Scheifele set the pace for Winnipeg’s attack last season, reaching career highs with 103 points and 67 assists in 82 games. His point total ranked fifth in the NHL, while his assist total was ninth. He added 36 goals and has registered 75 in 164 games over the past two seasons, tied for 12th league-wide.
His offensive totals have climbed in each of the last three seasons, and he has hit the 35-goal mark in three of the past four. Scheifele also provides more all-around category value than most scoring centers: across the last two seasons, he has 107 blocked shots and 105 hits in addition to those 75 goals. Only Dallas forward Wyatt Johnston has also reached 75 goals, 100 blocks and 100 hits in that period.
The Connor-Scheifele connection remains central to the Jets’ offense. They appeared on the same goal 65 times last season, more than any other teammate pairing in the NHL. Scheifele is projected for 92 points.
Vilardi’s role keeps growing
Gabriel Vilardi supplied career-best production last season, finishing with 30 goals, 39 assists and 69 points in 82 games. He also established highs in power-play goals with 13 and shots with 150.
The 27-year-old has scored 20 or more in four consecutive seasons. During his two years in Winnipeg, his goals, assists, power-play goals, average ice time and shot totals have all trended upward. His 25 power-play goals since 2024-25 are tied for 10th in the NHL.
Vilardi’s value is tied directly to his deployment with Connor and Scheifele at even strength and on the man advantage. A 71-point projection would put another step forward within reach.
Morrissey remains Winnipeg’s blue-line staple
Josh Morrissey recorded 14 goals and 41 assists for 55 points in 77 games last season. He has reached at least 55 points in four straight years, scored 10 or more goals in five consecutive seasons, and produced 100-plus blocked shots in each of those five campaigns.
His physical totals have shifted as his game has evolved. Hits have declined in recent seasons, but Morrissey logged a career-high average of 24:43 per game last year, a workload that preserves his path to another strong offensive season.
Over the past two seasons, Morrissey is one of only three defensemen with at least 25 goals, 225 blocks and 80 hits. His 28 goals, 231 blocked shots and 85 hits put him alongside Cale Makar and Mikhail Sergachev in that group.
Looking back to 2021-22, he is one of just two defensemen with 50 goals, 400 hits and 500 blocked shots. Morrissey has 66 goals, 414 hits and 557 blocks over that period; Rasmus Dahlin is the other. A 59-point projection leaves room for him to push back toward the top tier of fantasy defensemen.
Other Winnipeg names to track
- Cole Perfetti: A breakout candidate projected for 55 points.
- Vladislav Namestnikov: A possible rebound forward with a 40-point projection.
- Neal Pionk: A hits-and-blocks option from the blue line, projected for 35 points.
