Jorge Jesus Set for Portugal Debut Against Wales in Nations League

Lisbon opens Portugal’s new Nations League chapter on Thursday, when Wales arrive at Estádio José Alvalade for a Group A4 meeting that will also bring Jorge Jesus to the national-team dugout for the first time.

The match is scheduled for 15:45 Brasília time on 24 September 2026. Portugal enter as reigning Nations League holders, while Wales are back in League A and beginning a demanding away double-header under Craig Bellamy.

Wales will look to make their renewed League A status count against a Portuguese team beginning another cycle, in a stadium more accustomed to the green-and-white of Sporting but set for a national occasion under the Lisbon lights.
