Juventus are preparing to continue without Kenan Yildiz until the beginning of December, with the club treating the recovery of their No. 10 as a matter for patience rather than pressure. The Turkish forward has played only once this season, in the league opener at Frosinone, and the injury suffered that day has kept him out of a side that badly misses his technical quality.
Yildiz fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during that first appearance. He underwent osteosynthesis surgery on 31 August at the Hessingpark Klinik in Augsburg, Germany, beginning a recovery initially expected to require at least three months.
The player spent the first phase of rehabilitation in Regensburg before returning to Turin on 25 September. Since then, he has worked under Juventus’ medical staff, dividing his time between the club’s training centre and JMedical. His individual programme includes physiotherapy, exercises to preserve muscle condition and work aimed at restoring the foot’s full function.
A careful route back for Juventus’ No. 10
There is no fixed date for Yildiz’s competitive return, but early December remains the target if each stage of the process continues positively. Before he can be considered for selection, he must gradually resume football activity and then rejoin group training.
Yildiz has made clear that he is focusing on the process, writing on social media: “The joy is in the journey.” The message fits the approach being taken around him. Juventus and Luciano Spalletti are eager to have him back, yet neither the player’s desire to return nor the team’s need for his influence will alter the cautious timetable.
The next stretch of the season will therefore test Juventus’ ability to manage without one of their leading creative figures. For Yildiz, the immediate objective is not a rushed appearance, but a complete recovery that allows him to return at full strength when December arrives.
