Colombia’s next international window will unfold across the United States, carrying Néstor Lorenzo’s side from Baltimore to New Jersey and Miami for three September and October friendlies. The squad announced on Thursday draws players from across South America, Europe and North America, with four Brazil-based footballers included and Athletico-PR forward Kevin Viveros receiving his first senior call-up.
Viveros joins Palmeiras midfielder Jhon Arias, Atlético-MG’s Kevin Castaño and Vasco da Gama attacker Carlos Andrés Gómez in the group. Arias, Castaño and Gómez have previously featured in Colombia squads, while Viveros has never before been selected for the full national team.
There is no place, however, for Flamengo’s Jorge Carrascal. The midfielder, who took part in the World Cup, has been omitted by Lorenzo for this set of matches.

In goal, Lorenzo has chosen Aldair Quintana of Independiente del Valle, Cruz Azul’s Kevin Mier and Boca Juniors goalkeeper Álvaro Montero.
The defensive group consists of Álvaro Angulo of Pumas, Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Muñoz, Galatasaray centre-back Dávinson Sánchez, Vancouver Whitecaps player Édier Ocampo, Bologna’s Jhon Lucumí, Zenit defender Kevin Andrade, Royer Caicedo of Cercle Brugge and Atlético Nacional’s Samuel Velásquez.
The midfield selection includes Daniel Arcila of León, Gustavo Puerta from Racing de Santander, Rosario Central’s Jáminton Campaz, Arias, Birmingham City midfielder Jhon Solís, Juan Manuel Rengifo of Atlético Nacional, Castaño, Matías Orozco of Castellón, Benfica’s Richard Ríos and Yáser Asprilla of Galatasaray.
Up front, Colombia will have Celtic’s Camilo Durán, Vasco’s Gómez, debutant Viveros, Sporting striker Luis Javier Suárez and Óscar Perea of América-MEX.
The first fixture comes on 26 September, when Colombia meet Mexico in Baltimore. Paraguay await on 2 October in New Jersey, before the trip concludes against Peru in Miami on 6 October.
