In Miami, where Lionel Messi’s presence still rearranges the scale of an ordinary matchday, Inter Miami produced another emphatic win with the Argentine captain scoring twice. Yet for the club’s Rosario-born coach, working beside the No. 10 remains an experience that has not become routine.
Messi’s double helped drive Inter Miami’s heavy victory, adding another decisive evening to his time in Major League Soccer. The forward was again at the centre of the result, with his two goals underlining the influence he continues to hold for the Florida side.
After the match, the coach admitted that daily life alongside his celebrated compatriot has yet to feel normal. “I look at him and I can’t believe it,” he said, describing the lingering sense of disbelief at sharing the training ground and touchline with Messi.
