Jürgen Klopp’s first match in charge will arrive on Thursday in the Nations League, with the German coach using his opening days to set the tone away from the pitch as well as on it.
His early priority has been to strengthen the sense of togetherness inside the squad’s training camp. Klopp wants the group to spend more time collectively and to limit distractions during international gatherings, placing daily routines and shared responsibility at the centre of his new environment.
The Nations League debut will provide the first public measure of that work. Before the competition’s results take shape, Klopp is seeking to establish a calmer, more connected camp for the players he will lead.
