Luka Dončić Tops 2026-27 Fantasy Basketball Shooting Guard Rankings

The 2026-27 fantasy basketball draft board is already stretching the definition of a shooting guard. Luka Dončić leads the 9-category rankings with PG/SG eligibility for the Lakers, while the first tier also brings Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey, Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton into the position pool. The position is loaded with primary ballhandlers, high-volume scorers and multi-position wings rather than traditional two-guards.

Dončić sits No. 1 ahead of Cunningham and Maxey, with Edwards fourth and Haliburton fifth. Donovan Mitchell follows at No. 6, while Dallas rookie Cooper Flagg lands seventh with PF/SF/SG eligibility. Kevin Durant, Scottie Barnes and Austin Reaves round out the top 10, giving managers multiple avenues to build around assists, scoring, threes, rebounding and defensive-category production from the same roster slot.

The middle of the board has a notable mix of dependable veterans and younger guards whose role could move quickly once rotations settle. Booker, Amen Thompson, Brandon Miller, Bane, Leonard and Jalen Williams occupy the No. 14 through No. 19 range, followed by George, White and Brown. Later options such as Daniels, Castle, Edgecombe, Harper and Mitchell carry dual-guard flexibility, while Hart, Wiggins, Avdija and Bridges offer wing eligibility that can ease lineup pressure across a weekly matchup.

For draft rooms using 9-category scoring, the position’s depth means managers can wait on a conventional shooting guard if they already have guards and wings who qualify there. The early picks remain star-driven, but the No. 20-to-50 group leaves plenty of paths to chase assists, steals, threes or all-around lineup coverage without forcing a one-dimensional roster build.
