Miami will carry the final stretch of the 2027 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, bringing a six-continent club competition to the home ground of Inter Miami. Nu Stadium has been selected for the semi-finals, the third-place match and the final of the tournament’s second edition, with the decisive fixtures scheduled for the closing days of January.
The competition is the women’s counterpart to the men’s Intercontinental Cup and is still finding its early landmarks. Its inaugural edition was staged in 2026, when Arsenal lifted the trophy in London after a 3-2 extra-time victory over Corinthians at Emirates Stadium.
This time the concluding stage will be played in the United States, with Club América and Barcelona already assured of their places. América arrive as holders of the Concacaf W Champions Cup, while Barcelona qualified through their latest UEFA Women’s Champions League triumph.
Two continental places remain open
Four of the six participants have been identified, leaving South America and Africa to provide the remaining entrants. The Conmebol berth will go to the winner of the 2026 Copa Libertadores Femenina. Its group phase is due to begin in mid-October, before the final on Saturday 31 October.
Africa’s representative will emerge from the CAF Women’s Champions League, although the date of that final has yet to be settled.

The route towards Miami begins with Auckland United facing Naegohyang in the opening round. The winner will then meet the CAF champions, with the side that comes through that tie earning a semi-final against América. Barcelona, meanwhile, will take on the Conmebol champions in the other last-four match.
Miami dates set for January
The early rounds have not yet been assigned final venues or dates. The first match is provisionally expected in November and the second in December, although both could instead be played during December. Confirmation is expected in the coming weeks.
What is already fixed is the Miami finale. The two semi-finals are scheduled for 27 January 2027, before the third-place play-off and the final follow four days later on 31 January. For a competition that began with Arsenal’s extra-time success in London, the next champion will be crowned on the Atlantic edge of the United States, after a journey running from Auckland and Pyongyang to the champions of Africa and South America.
