Monza and Cagliari meet at the U-Power Stadium at 18:30 with the hosts looking to respond after their defeat to Lazio, while the Sardinian side arrive chasing a fifth consecutive positive result.
Ivan Juric has made his selections around a three-man defence, with Tornqvist starting in goal behind Kouadio, Goglichidze and Carboni. Birindelli and Mangas are stationed on the flanks, while Ondoa and Akinsanmiro form the central midfield pairing.
Varela leads the Monza attack, supported by Robinson and Dany Mota. The home side will need a sharper afternoon after the setback against Lazio, with the Brianteo crowd awaiting a response in a fixture that carries weight for both clubs’ league momentum.
Cagliari seek another step forward
Fabio Pisacane’s Cagliari come into the match unbeaten across their previous four outings and name Caprile between the posts. Zé Pedro, Mina, Rodriguez and Obert make up the defensive line.
Romano, Winks and Adopo start in midfield, with Maldini operating behind the forward pair of Mendy and Nzola. Cagliari will aim to extend their run and turn their recent consistency into another valuable result away from home.
