Neal Maupay steps into Marseille’s starting XI with the lights at their brightest. The forward will make his first Ligue 1 start of the season for Olympique de Marseille when Paris Saint-Germain visit the Velodrome on Sunday night.
The move
Marseille coach Bruno Genesio has selected Maupay after handing him a start in the 4-1 Europa League defeat to Besiktas in midweek. This time, the challenge is the final match of Ligue 1’s fifth round, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45.
Maupay is set to lead a Marseille attack featuring Amine Harit, Igor Paixão and Amine Gouiri. The hosts could line up in a 4-4-2 shape as they attempt to halt a run of four consecutive defeats.

Marseille’s difficult week has brought PSG to the coast at an unforgiving moment. The heavy loss against Besiktas added European disappointment to a losing sequence that Genesio must now arrest against the champions.
PSG coach Luis Enrique has chosen Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia in his attacking line rather than Ferran Torres. Kvaratskhelia will join Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué in the visitors’ forward unit.
Warren Zaïre-Emery is expected to operate at right-back because Achraf Hakimi is unavailable through injury.
