Munich’s autumn evening became another exhibition of Bayern’s attacking force as Vincent Kompany’s side swept Union Berlin aside 7-0 at home, moving temporarily to the top of the Bundesliga after four rounds.
Michael Olise was the defining figure at the Allianz Arena, scoring a hat-trick and creating another goal in Bayern’s largest win of the 2026/27 campaign. Harry Kane struck twice, including his 100th Bundesliga goal, while Jamal Musiala and Saibari completed a one-sided scoreline.
Bayern take control before the interval
Union were under pressure from the opening stages and Bayern found their breakthrough in the 17th minute. Musiala collected the ball at the edge of the area and drove his finish beyond the visiting goalkeeper.
The hosts increased their advantage late in the first half after Olise won a penalty. Kane converted the spot-kick to bring up a century of Bundesliga goals, a landmark reached during another prolific start to the season for the England forward.
There was still time before half-time for Olise to add a third. The Frenchman struck from outside the penalty area, giving Bayern a commanding lead by the break.
Olise and Kane extend the rout
Bayern resumed with the same authority. Olise turned provider for Kane, whose header made it 4-0 and removed any remaining uncertainty from the match.
Saibari then scored his first goal in a Bayern shirt in the 69th minute, finishing after an individual run. Olise followed quickly with his second of the night before sealing his treble with another long-range effort.
The result gives Bayern 10 points from their opening four Bundesliga fixtures: their third league victory and second in succession. It was also the fourth time in seven matches this season that Kompany’s team have scored at least four goals, and the fourth occasion on which they have won by three goals or more.
Bayern sit first for now, although Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund and Augsburg can still overtake them when the remaining weekend fixtures are played.
