Real Betis are carrying last season’s historic momentum into Europe, with Manuel Pellegrini hailing the side’s continued development after a third successive continental victory.
The Chilean coach welcomed the result as another sign of progress for the Seville club, whose recent campaign set a new standard in its modern history. Betis have now put together three consecutive wins in European competition, strengthening the sense that the group has retained both confidence and ambition beyond domestic football.
Pellegrini sees continued progress
Pellegrini praised the growth of his squad following the latest European success. The manager has overseen a period of sustained improvement at the Benito Villamarín, and the latest run has extended that upward trajectory onto the continental stage.
For Betis, the third straight win offers more than another positive night in Europe: it reinforces the work of a team seeking to build on an exceptional previous season rather than regard it as a one-off achievement.
