SC Freiburg have refined their approach to defending corners after conceding three goals from set pieces during their strong start to the season.
Set plays have also been a major part of Freiburg’s early success, but defensive corners remain an area under review. The issue had already caused problems during last season’s successful campaign.
Philipp Treu and his Freiburg teammates have explained the revised corner-defending plan as the club looks to retain its set-piece threat while cutting out avoidable goals at the other end.
