Real Madrid Castilla sought to halt a two-match wait for victory at the Alfredo Di Stéfano, facing an unbeaten Alcorcón side in a demanding Primera Federación meeting. Pol Fortuny’s composed penalty gave the home team the advantage after 12 minutes.

Castilla made one notable change in attack, with Ángel Carvajal selected ahead of Rachad Fettal. Fortuny captained the side and took responsibility from the spot after Castilla’s previous two penalties this season, both taken by Rachad, had been missed.
Fortuny keeps his nerve
The decisive incident followed a move involving Thiago and Yáñez. Yáñez headed the ball before being brought down by goalkeeper Bañuz as he chased the loose ball. Referee Saiz Villares initially reviewed the incident through the Football Video Support system rather than VAR, then awarded the penalty.
Fortuny sent Bañuz the wrong way to put Castilla ahead, settling a side that had begun brightly and continued to threaten high up the pitch. Fortea caused problems down the flank, with Mayorga required to clear one of his deliveries under pressure.
Thiago also released Carvajal with a well-weighted ball in behind, although the forward could not bring it under control. Carvajal later tested the Alcorcón defence with a dangerous effort that was blocked.

The visitors emerged more sharply after the interval and exposed nerves in the Castilla defence from a corner, but goalkeeper Mestre collected. Soon afterwards, Naasei made an important intervention after Davo found space following an error while playing out from the back.
Castilla then regained their rhythm, moving the ball through Thiago, Sergio Martínez and Fortuny before Leiva earned a corner after a twisting run.
