PSG Fear Kvaratskhelia Knee Injury After Champions League Win at Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain left Barcelona with a 4-2 Champions League victory but also a growing injury list, with Ousmane Dembélé, Marquinhos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia all forced from the action.

The greatest immediate concern surrounds Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian winger appeared to suffer a problem with his right knee and departed in obvious pain, unable to put weight on that leg as he made his way off the pitch.

Dembélé’s withdrawal came far earlier, after only 20 minutes against his former club. He was replaced by Ferran Torres, with the initial signs pointing towards a hamstring injury in the back of his left thigh.

The forward is a central figure in Luis Enrique’s PSG side, making the uncertainty over his condition particularly unwelcome after an important European night in Catalonia. Further examinations are scheduled for Wednesday to establish the extent of the injury.

Marquinhos also sustained an injury during the match, adding another concern for Paris as the club assesses the physical cost of its win at Barcelona.
