Qatar Sports Investments has completed its takeover of KAS Eupen, adding the Belgian second-tier club to a portfolio already led by Paris Saint-Germain and including a minority holding in Braga.

QSI, chaired by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, confirmed that it is now the sole owner of Eupen after finalising the acquisition several months after first taking control of the club’s sporting management in December 2025.
The group said its work with Eupen has focused on laying long-term sporting and financial foundations. That programme has included reshaping the football structure, strengthening the first-team squad, continuing the development of young players and creating fresh commercial partnerships.
Eupen will be able to draw on QSI’s international experience and network, but the new owners said the club would retain its local character. It remains the only professional football club from Belgium’s German-speaking Community and is expected to stay closely connected to regional supporters, partners and institutions.
Pasquale Sensibile, installed by QSI as sporting director, is overseeing the football operation, while Felice Mazzu is head coach.
The deal marks a new chapter rather than Qatar’s first involvement at Eupen. The club had been under Qatari control through Aspire Academy since 2012, operating in part as a development route for young talent. Eupen were relegated to Belgium’s Challenger Pro League in May 2024 after eight consecutive seasons in the top division.
QSI bought PSG in 2011 and acquired a minority stake in Portuguese club Braga in 2022. Eupen now becomes the latest club formally placed within its expanding football network.
