Real Madrid vs Villarreal: LaLiga Kick-Off Time and TV Coverage

Madrid moves into an October Saturday with a familiar test of recovery awaiting at the Santiago Bernabéu, where Real Madrid host Villarreal in LaLiga’s eighth round. Kick-off is set for 13:00 Central Mexico time on 10 October, with Sky Sports carrying the match.

Real arrive needing an answer after a 2-1 derby defeat to Atlético de Madrid, a result that left them fourth in the table on 15 points. Their league record stands at five wins and two losses, and the Bernabéu meeting offers the home side an immediate chance to regain ground near the summit. Before the setback against Atlético, Madrid had taken a 3-2 away win at Elche.

Villarreal travel north from Castellón with rather more momentum. The Yellow Submarine have won their past two league outings, beating Levante 3-1 most recently after recording the same scoreline away to Málaga. Those results have placed Villarreal ninth with eight points, and a third successive victory would bring them closer to the division’s leading group.

The broader record points strongly towards the hosts. In 53 meetings, Real Madrid have claimed 30 victories, compared with six for Villarreal, while 17 matches have finished level. Madrid have also won the last four encounters between the clubs, including a 2-0 result on 24 January 2026.

Yet Villarreal know that the Bernabéu can offer them a rare but memorable opening. Their latest win over Real came in this stadium on 8 April 2023, when they left the capital with a 3-2 victory. They have not beaten Madrid since, but arrive this weekend carrying the confidence of consecutive league wins.

The match will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid on Saturday 10 October 2026, starting at 13:00 in central Mexico. Sky Sports will show the fixture.
