Saturday’s originally scheduled game at Fenway has been shifted to St. Petersburg, Florida, where Boston and Chicago will meet Sunday at 3:05 p.m. Eastern time. The first pitch will be 2:05 p.m. Central time.
The matchup will be played at the Rays’ home ballpark as a neutral-site game. The change was made with the storm forecast to affect Boston through the rest of the weekend.
Both clubs are set to travel to Florida after the completion of Saturday’s doubleheader at Fenway, allowing the two traveling parties to make the trip before the weather worsens.
