The final France fixture of the sequence will give two young players their first senior international minutes, with Guillaume Restes and Leny Yoro selected from the start against Belgium at the Stade de France on Monday night.
Zinédine Zidane has made changes for Les Bleus’ fourth and last match, handing Toulouse goalkeeper Restes his first cap at the age of 21. The decision puts the young Ligue 1 goalkeeper into the spotlight for a major international test.
Yoro will also make his France debut. The 20-year-old Manchester United defender has been chosen to partner Maxence Lacroix in central defence after Jérémy Jacquet was ruled out of the starting side by a physical issue. Jacquet is available only among the substitutes.
Camavinga to anchor the midfield
Eduardo Camavinga is set to operate as the holding midfielder, wearing the number six role in Zidane’s selection. Maghnes Akliouche and Manu Koné will line up alongside him in the middle of the pitch.
The midfield arrangement gives Akliouche another opportunity in France colours, while Camavinga will be expected to provide balance behind the attacking line.
Lepaul retained up front
Estéban Lepaul will again be used through the centre of the attack. Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola are due to support him from the wider positions as France face Belgium under the lights in Saint-Denis.
For Restes and Yoro, the evening offers a first step at senior international level; for Zidane, it is one more chance to assess new options before this four-match run comes to an end.
