Serie A Matchday 7: Three Midfielders to Back in Fantasy Football

Serie A’s seventh round opens on Friday 13 October with Frosinone hosting Sassuolo, while Monday’s closing fixtures offer important tests for clubs seeking direction: Monza face Cagliari at 18:30, followed by Parma against Torino at 20:45. Between those bookends, several midfielders arrive with form, responsibility and personal history shaping their weekends.

Midfield stories for the seventh round

  1. Adrien Rabiot has become one of Milan’s most reliable figures under Amorim. The Frenchman has produced three goals and two assists so far, taking his fantasy average to 8.5.

  2. His latest goal set Milan on their way against Sassuolo last Sunday, a left-footed finish from a tight angle. Yet it is his week-to-week level, rather than one moment of quality, that has established him as a central presence in the side.

  3. Milan now prepare for a demanding meeting with Atalanta, with Rabiot expected again to carry a major share of the midfield work. His 56-credit fantasy valuation is substantial, but reflects both his output and his security in the team.

  4. At Cagliari, Michel Adopo continues to offer a different kind of assurance. Pisacane has made him an automatic starter for a side that has emerged as one of the early surprises of the campaign.

  5. Adopo has not fallen below a rating of six this season and holds a 6.7 fantasy average. He has also contributed two assists, even if his first league goal remains to come.

  6. Cagliari travel to Monza with the opportunity to reinforce their position around the European places. Priced at 23 credits, Adopo brings consistency to a midfield role that is beginning to matter in the Sardinians’ wider season.

  7. Genoa’s recent victory over Fiorentina gave Stephan El Shaarawy a timely opening. With only one point collected from their first five matches, De Rossi selected him from the start in a difficult moment for the club.

  8. El Shaarawy answered with a performance rated seven at the Ferraris, helping Genoa take the win. His next assignment is especially personal: a visit to Roma, the club he represented across 10 seasons.

  9. The attacking midfielder will hope that display earns him another place in the starting side at the Olimpico, where he is still seeking his first attacking return of the league season. At 14 credits, his advanced role makes him a lower-cost midfield option with room to grow.

A round framed by different pressures

Rabiot heads into the weekend as an established Milan reference point, Adopo as the dependable engine of Cagliari’s encouraging start, and El Shaarawy with a former club awaiting him at a delicate stage of Genoa’s recovery. The seventh matchday will not decide the season, but it offers each of them a chance to deepen a developing storyline.
