The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to play without cornerback Joey Porter Jr. for another week as his contract situation remains unresolved.
Porter, the club’s top cornerback, is set to miss the upcoming game while negotiations continue between the Steelers and his representatives. Pittsburgh will also take injury questions into kickoff involving two key offensive players.
Offensive injuries to monitor
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is listed as questionable with a foot injury, while offensive tackle Troy Fautanu carries a questionable designation because of an ankle issue.
The Steelers’ availability decisions for Pittman and Fautanu will be significant for an offense already facing a difficult week without full clarity on Porter’s status and contract talks.
