In Solna, Sweden made an early statement in Nations League Group B4, overcoming Poland 3-1 to complete a six-point start under Graham Potter. Without Isak, who had scored against Romania before being injured, Sweden still found a quick route to goal. Benjamin Nygren headed in at the back post in the eighth minute to put the Nordic side ahead.
Poland, managed by Jan Urban, had left Robert Lewandowski among the substitutes and drew level shortly before the interval. Sebastian Szymanski struck in the 43rd minute, with his effort hitting both posts before crossing the line.
The second half belonged to Sweden. Yasin Ayari restored the lead in the 64th minute, driving a cross-field finish after a corner, before Viktor Gyökeres made the outcome secure eight minutes later with a first-time close-range effort.

Urban introduced Lewandowski in the 88th minute, with Poland already facing a two-goal deficit. There was almost a late twist when the former Barcelona forward, now with Chicago Fire, hit the crossbar in the 90th minute.
During stoppage time, Lewandowski was booked for a foul, ending a brief appearance that came too late to rescue a point for the visitors.
