Washington Capitals winger Tom Wilson and his wife, Taylor, used Halloween to reveal that their second child is due in March 2027, turning their shared surname into a full-scale “Cast Away” costume bit.
After the horn
Taylor Wilson posted a photo of the couple in costumes built around the famous volleyball companion from the 2000 Tom Hanks film. Her caption delivered the family news: “Baby WILSONNNNN! #2 coming March 2027.”
Taylor, formerly Taylor Pischke, wore a white Wilson-branded tank top with the movie’s recognizable handprint face across her baby bump. The costume carried an extra volleyball connection for Taylor, a seven-time Canadian national champion in the sport.
Tom Wilson took the role of stranded FedEx employee Chuck Noland, wearing a weathered cut-off shirt, cargo shorts, a long wig and beard. He also carried a FedEx box, a nod to Noland’s job in the film.
The Capitals forward and his wife are expecting their second child next spring.
