Torino Midfielder Emirhan Ilkhan Sidelined for Up to Three Weeks

Torino will return to the Filadelfia on Friday with a fresh concern in midfield, after Emirhan Ilkhan suffered a low-grade strain to his right adductor during the victory over Udinese.

The Turkish midfielder is expected to be unavailable for between two and three weeks, delaying his return to Ignazio Abate’s options at a point when the Granata are preparing for another demanding away evening. Ilkhan entered the match against Udinese but lasted only 23 minutes, asking to come off in the 77th minute and being replaced by Gineitis.

His absence is a setback after a positive result, although it is not expected to become a long-term problem. Torino had been given Wednesday off following the Udinese win, allowing the squad to recover after Abate’s work on Tuesday.

Players who featured in the match completed a lighter recovery session, while those with fewer minutes were put through a more intensive programme alongside several members of the club’s youth system. It was a familiar rhythm after a league victory: recovery for the starters, sharper work for the rest, then a quick turn towards the next fixture.

Preparations now move fully towards Monday night’s trip to Parma. The match, scheduled for 20:45, will close Torino’s build-up to the seventh round of the Serie A season, with Abate needing to manage Ilkhan’s absence as his side look to carry the momentum from Udinese into another important chapter of their campaign.
