In Praia, Cape Verde are beginning a new international chapter with a familiar figure between the posts. Veteran goalkeeper Vozinha has been included in Humberto Bettencourt’s first squad selection since the 2026 World Cup.
The experienced keeper will therefore be available as Cape Verde open their qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Vozinha represented the island nation at the World Cup and now returns for the start of another demanding continental route.
