Bilbao takes on a local autumn feel when Athletic Club welcome Deportivo Alavés to San Mamés, with the Basque neighbours meeting in LaLiga EA Sports on Saturday afternoon.
The match is scheduled for 16:15 on 19 September 2026 and forms part of the seventh round of the Spanish season. Both sides have confirmed their line-ups and begun their warm-up routines ahead of kick-off in the city.
A Basque meeting at San Mamés
Athletic carry the home occasion at San Mamés, while Alavés arrive from Vitoria-Gasteiz for one of the region’s familiar league crossings. The fixture brings together two clubs whose identities are closely tied to the Basque Country, even as the league campaign moves into its early weeks.
The encounter is an official LaLiga EA Sports Round 7 match, with the teams set to begin after their final preparations on the pitch.
