From Recife to Rabat, the women’s international calendar has brought movement at both ends of FIFA’s latest update: Brazil have held seventh place after their Argentine double-header, while Morocco will host a decisive preliminary route towards the 2027 World Cup.
Brazil steady as Denmark enter the leading group
The October international window left Brazil unchanged in seventh in the FIFA women’s rankings, with 1,970.87 points. Spain remain first and have extended their margin over the United States, who stay second. Denmark provided the only change among the first 10 nations, climbing into 10th place.
- Spain met the United States twice, winning the first match 2-0 before a 2-2 draw in the return fixture.
- Brazil played Argentina in two friendlies, beating their South American neighbours 3-1 at Beira-Rio before drawing 2-2 at Arena de Pernambuco in Recife.
- Denmark travelled to Canada for two matches. They lost the opening game on penalties, 4-2, after a 1-1 draw in normal time, then won the second encounter 4-3.
That Danish result lifted them past the previous top-10 boundary, while every other position in the leading group remained intact.
