Breece Hall Out for Jets-Browns; CeeDee Lamb Expected to Play

The New York Jets will be without running back Breece Hall when they face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, while wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is expected to be available for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 after sustaining a quad bruise.

Quick facts

  • CeeDee Lamb suffered a quad bruise in Dallas’ Thursday night loss to Tampa Bay but is not expected to miss Week 6.
  • Jets running back Breece Hall has been ruled out against Cleveland with a quad injury.
  • New York also ruled out Adonai Mitchell, Dylan Parham and Francisco Mauigoa.
  • Tight end Mason Taylor is expected to return for the Jets on Sunday.
  • Caleb Douglas is unlikely to play against Cincinnati because of an ankle injury.

Lamb was injured during the Cowboys’ loss to the Buccaneers on Thursday night. The wide receiver’s quad issue is considered minor, and Dallas expects him to be ready for its next game.

The Jets’ injury list is considerably longer entering their matchup with Cleveland. Hall will miss the game after being sidelined by a quad injury.

Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will not play because of a finger injury, while offensive lineman Dylan Parham has been ruled out with a knee problem. Linebacker Francisco Mauigoa also will be unavailable due to a quad injury.

There was more encouraging news for New York at tight end, where Mason Taylor is expected back from a thumb injury. Cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr., who has been in concussion protocol, is set to take part fully in practice.

Elsewhere, Douglas is not expected to suit up Sunday against Cincinnati after injuring his ankle. His status leaves his team preparing for the matchup without one of its receivers.
