In Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo has added another goal to his long pursuit of 1,000 career strikes. The Portuguese forward scored again in the Saudi league, taking one more step towards the landmark.
The news from the club
Ronaldo’s latest finish extends a scoring journey that has crossed Portugal, England, Spain, Italy and now Saudi Arabia. The new goal moves him closer to a four-figure career total, with the remaining distance to 1,000 continuing to narrow.
His progress also keeps the enduring comparison with Lionel Messi alive, as two of the game’s defining goalscorers continue to build their totals in the later stages of their careers.
