Franklin Arias Headlines Triple-A Prospect Action for Worcester

The final week of the Minor League regular season brings a prospect-heavy slate to the screen, led by Boston’s Franklin Arias in Triple-A and Washington speedster Seaver King in Rochester. Friday and Saturday offer several matchups featuring Top 100 talent, power breakouts and players who have already had a taste of the Major Leagues.

Friday: Arias takes another step with Worcester

Durham visits Worcester at 6:05 p.m. ET on Friday, putting two notable prospects in the same Triple-A game. Arias, the Red Sox’s No. 1 prospect and the No. 3 overall prospect in baseball, has continued to hit after moving up from Double-A.

The 20-year-old posted a .994 OPS in 75 Double-A games during the bulk of the summer, then batted .323 across his first 40 games with Worcester. His climb has brought him within sight of the Major Leagues.

Durham counters with Xavier Isaac, Tampa Bay’s No. 18 prospect. The 2022 first-round pick is enjoying a recovery season at age 22, launching 27 home runs in 116 games. That total ranks second among Rays farmhands, and the left-handed hitter’s power remains his calling card.

Saturday: King brings speed and production to Rochester

Rochester hosts Buffalo at 1:05 p.m. ET Saturday, with King leading the Red Wings lineup. Washington’s No. 4 prospect, ranked No. 70 overall, entered the week atop the organization’s full-season qualifiers in both batting average (.308) and OPS (.902).

King, a 2024 first-round selection in his second full professional season, had also hit 19 homers. His 70-grade speed gives Rochester another dimension, making him one of the more electric all-around players in the Nationals system.

Buffalo’s RJ Schreck, Toronto’s No. 13 prospect, provides the opposing prospect angle. The Blue Jays acquired the polished outfielder from Seattle in 2024, and his profile includes 15-to-20 home run potential.

Columbus and St. Paul feature a pair of different hitters

At 4:05 p.m. ET Saturday, Columbus meets St. Paul in a Triple-A contest shaped by two hitters who win at the plate in different ways.

Guardians No. 5 prospect Cooper Ingle has supplied surprising extra-base punch for Columbus. After totaling 21 homers over his first two professional seasons combined, the 24-year-old catcher entered the season’s closing week with 20 long balls in 2026. Listed at 5-foot-8, Ingle has long been valued for his approach and strike-zone work, but this year’s power surge has given his profile another layer. Several Clippers players in the matchup have reached the majors this season.

St. Paul will lean on Hendry Mendez, Minnesota’s No. 8 prospect. The 22-year-old outfielder makes frequent contact, rarely goes down on strikes and has become a dependable middle-of-the-order presence for the Saints.

Columbus could also have Ralphy Velazquez, Cleveland’s No. 2 prospect and the No. 31 prospect overall, available for the game. Velazquez began the week day-to-day with lower-body soreness.
