In Manchester, where dressing-room decisions often travel far beyond Old Trafford, former United midfielder Fred has criticised Erik ten Hag’s management of the squad during the Dutch coach’s spell at the club.
Fred questions Ten Hag’s handling of the group
The Brazilian, who played for Manchester United before leaving the club, directed strong criticism at Ten Hag over his treatment of the dressing room.
- Fred said Ten Hag’s management of the United group was a major concern during his time in charge.
- He included Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure among the episodes that reflected the Dutch coach’s handling of players.
Ronaldo left Manchester United during Ten Hag’s tenure, ending his second period at the club after a breakdown in relations with the manager and the side’s hierarchy.
