MLB Moves Rays-Guardians ALCS Game 3 to 1 p.m. ET Amid Rain Forecast

The American League Championship Series is getting an early first pitch in Cleveland on Thursday. Game 3 between the Guardians and Rays has been moved up from 6 p.m. ET to 1 p.m. ET, with Major League Baseball making the adjustment ahead of a forecast calling for rain later that night.

The change is intended to keep the best-of-seven series moving without a weather interruption. Cleveland will host the first ALCS game of the set after the series began in Tampa Bay, and the earlier window gives both clubs a clearer path to getting nine innings in before the expected evening weather arrives.

Game 3 will air nationally on TBS, with truTV, UniMas and HBO Max also carrying the broadcast. Spanish-language coverage of the ALCS will be available on UniMas, while TUDN Radio will provide Spanish-language radio calls throughout the League Championship Series round.

Authenticated MLB.TV subscribers who receive the appropriate television network through a participating pay-TV provider can also stream postseason games carried by TNT Sports platforms and FOX outlets. ESPN Radio will have national radio coverage of every 2026 postseason game, while MLB Network will continue its studio programming across MLB Tonight, MLB Central, MLB Now and Intentional Talk.

The postseason package will reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories in 16 languages, but Thursday’s immediate concern is much closer to home: a Cleveland afternoon, a shifted first pitch and an ALCS schedule that MLB hopes to keep right on time.
