Roma and Inter take an unblemished domestic record to the Olimpico on Saturday 19 September, with the 18:00 meeting offering an early measure of two sides who have made a forceful start to the Serie A campaign.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma have won each of their first four league fixtures, scoring 12 goals and conceding only once. Donyell Malen has supplied six of those goals, while Paulo Dybala has begun the season with four assists.
The Giallorossi’s only setback of sorts has come in Europe, where they were held to a 1-1 draw by Fenerbahce in Istanbul in the Champions League. Their league form, however, has placed them level with Inter before a contest that brings together two teams with maximum points.
Inter arrive after four straight wins
Cristian Chivu’s Inter have also won four out of four. Their run has included victories over Monza, Cagliari, Napoli and Udinese, giving the Nerazzurri an equally perfect opening to the championship.
The fixture also carries recent history between the two coaches. Inter defeated Gasperini twice last season without losing, while Gasperini’s last victory against Roma dates back to 2018, when he was managing Atalanta.
Match officials and broadcast details
Davide Massa of Imperia will referee the match. Melli and Berti have been appointed as assistants, with Mazzoleni on VAR duty and Di Paolo serving as assistant VAR.
Roma v Inter will be shown live exclusively on DAZN.
