Week 7 Injury Report: Breece Hall, Olamide Zaccheaus Status Updates

Several key defensive backs, pass rushers and skill-position players carried questionable tags into the Week 7 Sunday slate, with final inactive lists settling the status of Chicago wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus and New York Jets running back Breece Hall.

Confirmed Week 7 availability

  • Arizona safety Budda Baker, listed as questionable with a groin injury and illness, is expected to play against Denver.
  • Chicago defensive end Za’Darius Smith, who entered the weekend questionable because of a neck issue, is active for Sunday.
  • Chicago defensive tackle Gervon Dexter is active after being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.
  • Cleveland cornerback Denzel Ward is active against Tennessee despite a hand injury.
  • Seattle linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is expected to be available against Kansas City after being designated questionable with a hip injury.
  • Seattle safety Nick Emmanwori, also dealing with a hip issue, is expected to play Sunday.

Inactive decisions affect Bears and Jets

Zaccheaus will not play in Chicago’s matchup with San Francisco. The veteran wide receiver had been questionable because of a shoulder injury before being ruled inactive.

Hall is also inactive for the Jets’ game against Miami. The running back was listed as questionable with a quad injury but was viewed as unlikely to suit up before the club made the decision official.

Late calls remain for other Sunday games

  • Denver cornerback Patrick Surtain II is not expected to play against Atlanta as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. He has a strong chance to return in Week 8.
  • Running back Mike Washington Jr. will be a game-time decision against the Rams while managing foot and back injuries.
  • The Rams are optimistic that wide receiver Puka Nacua will be able to face the Raiders. Nacua is questionable with a calf injury.

Sunday injury outlook

The most consequential late developments will come at running back and cornerback. Hall’s absence removes a major piece of the Jets’ offense against Miami, while Surtain’s likely absence would leave Denver without its top cover corner for the Falcons game. Los Angeles, meanwhile, is awaiting Nacua’s final clearance as it prepares for the Raiders.
