Como have reached the first international break with 10 Serie A points from five matches, a return that has placed Cesc Fabregas’ side eighth for the moment and given their season an encouraging early shape.
The record stands at three wins, one draw and one defeat, with the setback coming against newly promoted Frosinone. Como have also had to manage the demands of their Champions League debut, adding another layer to an opening month that has tested the squad’s depth as well as its momentum.
Despite that defeat, the team have produced nine league goals and several players have made a decisive contribution. In the fantasy standings, based on players receiving ratings in at least three matches, Como have been among the stronger performers of the opening five rounds.
Diao sets the early standard
Assane Diao has been Como’s leading fantasy performer, posting an average of 7.9. The wide player struck twice against Genoa and supplied an assist in the match with Napoli, while maintaining a consistently positive level across all five league appearances in which he was rated.
Martin Baturina follows with a 7.6 average. The midfielder has already combined two goals with one assist, becoming another central figure in a Como side that has found attacking returns from more than one area of the pitch.
A shared contribution in attack
Three more Como players are level on a 7.2 fantasy average. Tasos Douvikas has scored twice, Nico Paz has registered one goal and one assist, and Bruno Kaiki has contributed one goal.
For Fabregas and the club, the break arrives with a useful platform rather than any reason for complacency. Como are in the top half, their attacking output has carried them through a demanding beginning, and several of their key figures have already established themselves as regular contributors to the campaign.
