Anthony Oyono’s rise has carried him from the French lower divisions to Italy’s top flight, and Frosinone have moved to secure the Gabon international for the long term.
New deal until 2029
Frosinone have extended the contract of right-back Oyono through to June 2029. The 25-year-old Franco-Gabonese defender has been with the club since January 2022 and has become part of their Serie A campaign following promotion.

From northern France to Serie A
Oyono was developed at Valenciennes before continuing his career at Boulogne-sur-Mer. His route has not followed the usual path of a high-profile academy prospect, but it has led him into one of Europe’s major leagues.
Now based south-east of Rome, he is experiencing Serie A for the first time this season. His early performances for the newly promoted side have been encouraging, helping convince Frosinone to commit to him well beyond the current campaign.
A growing role for club and country
The extension reflects Oyono’s importance at Frosinone, where he has settled since arriving nearly two years ago. He also brings significant international experience, having collected 32 appearances for Gabon.
For a player shaped in Valenciennes and Boulogne before finding his opening in Italy, the agreement until 2029 marks another major step in a career built steadily away from the spotlight.
