The Detroit Lions will be without two starting-line offensive linemen for Thursday night’s Week 2 matchup with the Buffalo Bills, ruling out tackle Blake Miller and guard Christian Mahogany. Cornerback D.J. Reed remains questionable as Detroit prepares for the Sept. 17 kickoff.
What changed for the franchise
Miller has been ruled out with a knee injury, while Mahogany will miss the game because of a hip issue. Their absences leave Detroit needing to reshuffle its protection unit against Buffalo.
Reed, a cornerback, is listed as questionable with a foot injury. His game-day availability will be determined closer to kickoff.
Buffalo enters the game without any players formally ruled out, but three Bills are questionable:
- Running back Ty Johnson — hamstring
- Defensive lineman T.J. Sanders — knee/illness
- Safety Cole Bishop — knee/groin
The Bills will make final decisions on those players before Thursday’s game.
