PSG Confirm Minor Right-Thigh Injury for Achraf Hakimi

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Achraf Hakimi suffered a minor right-thigh injury during Sunday’s 1-0 win away to Brest.

The Morocco international was forced off in the first half, leaving the pitch in the 39th minute as PSG protected their narrow lead on the Brittany coast. Medical examinations on Monday identified a slight lesion in his right thigh.

Two days of treatment for Hakimi

Hakimi will undergo treatment over the next two days before the club issue a further medical update on his availability.

The 27-year-old right-back has featured in all seven of PSG’s competitive fixtures so far this season, making his fitness an immediate concern for Luis Enrique’s squad after an uninterrupted start to the campaign.

PSG did not provide a projected return date, with the next assessment expected after Hakimi’s initial treatment period.
