Rams Sign Brandon McManus as Blake Grupe Lands on Injured Reserve

Sunday’s NFL transaction wire featured a veteran kicker change in Los Angeles, a major season-ending injury in Washington and a long list of practice-squad adjustments across the league.

The Rams are bringing in kicker Brandon McManus after placing Blake Grupe on injured reserve and moving on from Harrison Mevis last week. McManus, who also worked out for the club alongside Matt Prater on Tuesday, is entering his 13th NFL season. He previously spent nine seasons with Denver, one with Jacksonville and the past two years with Green Bay.

Atlanta added edge rusher Charles Snowden to its 53-man roster from Washington’s practice squad. Elsewhere, the Cowboys placed former first-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith on their practice squad after releasing quarterback Mark Gronowski, defensive tackle Aaron Graves and linebacker Jamal Hill.
